Focus: Patent Analysis and Prosecution
Ms. Bassett concentrates her practice on patent strategy and patent prosecution for computer-related technologies, such as machine learning, artificial intelligence, databases, digital image processing, cloud computing, graphical user interfaces, educational software, and numerous other areas. She has worked with a wide variety of clients and has extensive patent-related experience, both domestic and foreign. Before becoming an attorney, she worked as a senior software developer and then manager of the development team at Brigham Young University, where she worked with faculty to develop learning modules to augment classroom learning. Prior to that, she was a localization software engineer at Novell, Inc.
